Trek FAQs

Various tea houses are available during the trekking route for lunch and dinner. However, all types of meals and accommodation are only included in a trip if the payment is a gold class. Likewise, payment with a silver class has to pay the expenses of meals and accommodation separately in a tea house. Charging electronic goods are also available with a small amount of charge. Admiringly, lodges with hot water showers are available on purpose.

The climate ranges from temperature to arctic conditions depending on elevation and aspects. Although the Everest Base Camp weather and climate have intenseness of coldness, the high altitude remains occasionally dry during summer, and rainfall occurs frequently in low altitude areas. The temperature recorded in the base camp is -17°C in winter and 18°C in the summer season.

In our reviews, the highly seasonal peak is pre-monsoon (March to May) and post-monsoon (late September to December). During these seasons rain is an infrequent and ideal time for the trek, with generally clear days and comfortable temperatures. Rhododendron and other flowers are in full bloom during the spring (April and May) and decorate the lower hill region. You can also catch a beautiful glimpse of Himalayan peaks at suitable temperatures. Whereas winter (December to February) is obviously an extremely lower temperature in Everest and fewer seem to trek. However, some may even prefer when fewer people are on the trail during the off-season.

Apparently yes, and it is based on different elevations; the lower belt (below 3800m) consists of temperate forest and woodlands, the middle zone (3800m – 4200m) of subalpine forest and shrublands, and the upper zone (above 4200m) with tundra vegetation.

A recent study states most of the glaciers in the Everest region are melting as the rising temperature of global warming. It is estimated 5500 glaciers in Mt. Everest and many other tallest peaks could reduce their volume by 70% in a hundred years. So hurry, get to the glorious state of Everest before global warming gets there!
